FC Midtjylland play very smart football. They have three defenders with two wing backs. Wing backs are able to help the team both in the offence and the defence. Central midfielders should play like typical box-to-box players and help their teammates where it’s necessary. However, the role of these two position are slightly different. Evander shows himself mostly as a playmaker and more offensive player. Nevertheless, he has some defensive duties. Second midfielder – Onyedika – is more physical player. He has more defensive duties, but he is able to pass forward. Onyedika sometimes has some troubles to protect his teammates properly and leaves some free areas.
The most important thing in the offense which is the flexibility to swap the positions between the wingers and striker. There are a lot of rotations between Isaksen, Chilfuya, Dreyer or even Junior Brumado. The most important feature to be useful on the both wings is the ability to play both stronger and weaker leg.
The team play quick and passes are more direct but sometimes they can play shorter and slower in the middle sector during the position build-up. Midfielders, wingers and striker like to go into the free space to get the through pass from some teammate.
