Enzo Maresca sets Leicester up in a 1-4-3-3 but his approach to team shape is fluid. Maresca often rotates role and positions to adapt to the opponent, but Leicester’s main intention is to create overloads in selected areas.
In a low build up they use a 1-3-2-5 with the goalkeeper playing between the CBs and at least one box-to-box midfielder in the middle. They also often use moving one of the defensive midfielders higher up into the penalty area, then creating a 1-3-1-5-1 shape.
