Uwe Rösler at Aarhus uses 1-3-5-2 formation. Counter attacking play of style with more direct and fast passes. The most important principle in this tactic is crossing into the opponent’s box.
Two very fast wing backs with a proper crossing ability are supposed to cross as much as they can. It’s because in Aarhus first eleven there are two really tall strikers – Mortensen and Haugen. The first one is more like a pocher who is looking for some space to shot on the goal. However, Haugen is more mobile which guarantee a lot of movement in and out the opponent’s box.
During the defensive phase, they both have to press and push. The rest of the team regroup and cover their zones. Players in the midfield line are quick enough to respond as fast as they can. Usually Aarhus players try to create an advantage on the lateral sectors and use their strenght – the wing backs.
